Firearms and Security Training

Our lead instructor, Anthony Pizighelli is a retired Sergeant and respected member of the CT law enforcement community.

 

Mr. Pizighelli worked many years as a member of a special operations unit, conducted numerous high security prisoner transportation details and developed and supervised a central transportation unit for prisoner movement. He helped build the core training program for Connecticut Marshals that is still in place today.

 

Mr. Pizighelli  is a Certified National Rifle Association civilian instructor, a CT State Police Security Officer / Criminal Justice Instructor, a State of Utah Department of Public Safety firearms instructor, An American Heart Association  CPR/BLS/AED Instructor, a Certified Department of Homeland Security / FEMA Active Shooter and Emergency Preparedness Instructor, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Safe Boating instructor, a Florida Department of Transportation School Crossing Guard Instructor.

 

For the NRA, he trains students in many disciplines such as; basic safety pistol and pistol marksmanship and personal defense encounter shooting in the home. He is also a certified range safety officer. 

 

Mr. Pizighelli is an active member of the Fairfield Community Emergency Response Team, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Mr. Pizighelli brings his experience from many years of service in the law enforcement field and criminal justice system. For years, he qualified at the Connecticut Law Enforcement Firearms Range as 'distinguished expert'.

 

Mr. Pizighelli also served many years as a State law enforcement instructor. Throughout his career he has trained law enforcement officers in, Powers of Arrest, Criminal Justice, Report Writing, OC Spray, Expandable Baton, Handcuffing, Prisoner Transportation, Defensive Driving, Management of Aggressive Behavior, Cell Extraction, Search and Seizure, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazardous Materials, and Building evacuation.

 

Mr. Pizighelli volunteers to teach CPR/first aid and AED for Westport Volunteer EMS.

 

Mr. Pizighelli provides a relaxed, entertaining and thought provoking class, looking at issues and concerns while expanding his students' insight into firearm safety.
