All Security Officers, working in Connecticut, unarmed or armed must be licensed by the state of Connecticut. If you are looking to become and Armed Security Officer (Blue Card) you will need to have additional training.

 

Course Overview:           

This Connecticut security guard training class is approved by the D.E.S.P.P. and meets the minimum requirements required for you to work unarmed as a security officers or guards in the state of Connecticut.

 

8hr. Criminal Justice Training/Introduction to First Aid Basics

  • State statutes and case law of Connecticut

  • Use of Force

  • Laws of Arrest & Detention

  • The US Constitution

  • First Aid/CPR/AED overview

  • Introduction to private security, search and seizure law, use of force, and basic criminal justice

 

Upon successful completion you will receive an DESPP approved Security Officer Certification Identification Card Application.  Final processing will be through the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Division of the State Police. 

 

Included in the cost of class: Fingerprinting and 2 Passport Photographs
